System Requirements

The following list describes the recommended hardware and software specification for proper operation of the Chart-It software package.

Chart-It may be installed on any computer that runs Microsoft Windows 95 or higher.  The minimum configuration for a computer system is:

• Pentium processor
• 128 MB of RAM
• 14-inch .28 mm dp color SVGA monitor
• 1024 x 768 SVGA video card
• 10 MB free hard disk space
• Sound Blaster compatible sound system with speakers
• Microsoft Windows 95 or better
• Microsoft compatible mouse or pointing device
• Network hardware if applicable

Supported Printers

Almost all Windows compatible inkjet printers are supported.  As there are literally hundreds of printers that work with Chart-It, we will list the printers as they are reported to us that do not work properly.

Network Requirements

Installation of Chart-It on a network can be a useful and desirable implementation strategy.  Competent installation of proper hardware is mandatory for satisfactory performance of Chart-It or any other network based product.

It is beyond the scope of this document to describe in detail all of the components and steps that are required to install and configure a network environment for Chart-It.  Please work closely with your supplier and a qualified technician to ensure that installation is accomplished according to industry specifications.

Network Software Requirements

Operation of Chart-It is independent of network operating system characteristics.

Any network operating system that allows for mapping of shared network drives with full read / write access will support Chart-It operations.

This is a partial list of qualifying operating systems:

• Novell NetWare
• LAN Manager
• Windows Peer to Peer
• Windows NT

Should your technician have any difficulties installing Chart-It on your network, please have them contact Chart-It and a service technician will assist with proper configuration.
